BrioHR's employee app is how 22K+ people across Southeast Asia clock in, request leave, submit claims and read their payslips. The legacy app was built on Ionic and had reached its limits in performance and maintainability. I led the move to React Native and the rollout strategy that let us replace the old app without disrupting anyone.

What I built
- Migration from Ionic to React Native with Expo, keeping feature parity for 22K+ users.
- Phased rollouts, force update and OTA updates so the legacy app could be retired safely.
- Time attendance, leave, claims, payslip and onboarding modules.
- Amplitude product analytics and Sentry monitoring, reaching a 99%+ crash-free rate.
- Maestro end-to-end tests and AI-assisted automation with Claude Code, plus internal QA tooling.
